After an extensive recruitment exercise, the National Flood Forum is pleased to announce that Tracey Garrett has been selected to become our new Chief Executive starting on 1st May. Tracey replaces the Paul Cobbing who is retiring after 10 years in the role. The National Flood Forum, currently celebrating its 20th anniversary year, is the charity that supports communities across England and Wales to prepare for and recover from flood events.

On behalf of the board of trustees I am delighted to welcome Tracey Garrett to the National Flood Forum as our new CEO. Tracey joins us at an exciting time as we embark on a series of new long–term projects that will build resilience to flooding in many communities. She will inherit a fabulous team and strong national presence that Paul has built over his very successful ten years in the role. I want to put on record our sincerest thanks to Paul for his passion and leadership, and I look forward to working with Tracey as she applies her considerable breadth of skills and energy to take our work forward.

Tracey Garrett joins the National Flood Forum from the Woodland Trust, having spent the last ten years in senior communications and leadership roles. Her experience in the conservation and environmental sector spans the last 20 years.

Flooding is a traumatic, life changing experience and the National Flood Forum exists to support people before, during and after flood events. After ten years of leading the National Flood Forum it is great to know that its future development is in such good hands.
